"The most dangerous risk of all - the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later."
I read those words from Randy Komisar, author of The Monk and the Riddle: The Art of Creating a Life While Making a Living; and they hit home.
Hello, I'm Renée Melby from Atlantic Beach, NC. I am a professional business consultant and Brand Ambassador with It Works! Global. I teach women how to find their light at the end of the tunnel.
One thing I have learned over the years is that everyone doesn't start out life on a level playing field. We are all born into this world; some of us are born into the lucky gene pool and some of us were not.
I was one of those that was not! However, I was one of the lucky ones that learned that we all have a choice of how we are going to live our life. I learned that it doesn't matter where you came from or what kind of past you had, it still comes down to how well you play the hand that life has dealt you. I learned how to stack the deck.
Your past can drive you to success or hold you back from it. It's up to you to make that choice.
I had worked so hard to make a better life for myself and my son so that we would have things and be able to do things that I didn't realize I had started living on that deferred life plan that Randy was speaking of.
I grew up in a small town, the town itself was about 7.9 square miles, that's just barely over 5,000 acres. During those years, before high school, I spent my time believe it or not being a tomboy. Climbing trees, riding my little xl90 Harley and discovering things that would almost always land me in trouble. Though I was a tomboy, I also had a passion for music, my goal in life back then was to become the next Patsy Cline. I was full of childhood dreams like every child but those dreams came crashing down. I became a victim. A victim of childhood sexual abuse, then that pattern followed through in my adult life with domestic abuse until I decided in my mind "no more"!!! I decided I was not going to continue playing with the hand that life keeps dealing with me, I'm going to win this game. I'm going to learn how to stack the deck! When I made up my mind I was done with all of that. I became a victor. That's the key, you have to make up your mind that you are worth it, whatever "IT" is for you. You were made for more!
With no prior experience, I learned to be coachable and follow the three-step system to create a copy-and-duplicate a strategy that allowed an average person like me the to be successful. Today, my husband and I are living our lives as simplified as possible, stress-free and creating memories that will last forever. We like the simple lifestyle more so than the rat race and because we stepped out of our comfort zone and did something out of the ordinary we can do that.
We don't drive fancy cars or live in a million dollar home and the reason we don't is that we simply want to live. Make sense?

I started my career as a Network Marketer 8 years ago. My sponsor quit not long after. I knew I had my hands on something that could help other women just like me, so I became a student. I look back over those wasted years with deep regret because I could be a lot farther now than I am had I have known more about this industry and had a good mentor. I vowed then that I would never leave anyone on my team hanging. What I have learned over the years I want to share with you so that you can make a difference in your life today not 7 years from now! I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it will be worth it. ~ Renee;
